Saskatchewan Bereavement Photography Network (SaskBPN)
We are a team of photographers offering donation-based (including no cost) services for families experiencing loss across the province of Saskatchewan. This includes pregnancy and infant loss, stillbirth, palliative, hospice and even funeral coverage. These can take place in-hospital, in a long-term-care facility, in your home or wherever you are.
Here's how SaskBPN works:
– A healthcare provider or family member calls our 24/7 line: (306)-537-3032.
– We dispatch one of our volunteer photographers to the hospital or the location of the family as quickly as possible.
– A photography session is provided at no cost to the family.
– Their edited digital gallery is delivered within 24–48 hours so they have those memories while everything still feels fresh.
– Then, 3–6 weeks later, they receive a professionally printed heirloom photo album in the mail or through door-step delivery.
Every single session, every gallery and every album is made possible because of community generosity.

Donate to our October Raffle:
Each October, during Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, local businesses generously donate products, services, and gift cards for our month-long fundraiser. Community members purchase raffle tickets for $5, $25 or $100 and every dollar raised helps us continue offering bereavement photography at no cost.

With a one-time $100 donation, you can sponsor a local to Saskatchewan family's photo album. Thank you for helping us provide this service to our province.

Shalissa Elder founded SaskBPN in 2025 after years of offering this service on her own. Shalissa is a Birth and End-Of-Life Doula, photographer, wife and mother of five, with experience in loss. She serves the Regina area, in her hometown of Redvers, and fills in across the province when necessary. You can find her online @shalissaelder.
